Renewable energy is no longer a thing of the future – it is right here, right now and ever more important to us and our planet. With environmental concerns reported daily, noting how the emissions from tremendous energy consumption are driving those concerns, what better time than now to utilize a clean source of energy that is abundant in the South Carolina Lowcountry? We envision that once we are able to help educate our customers on all the positive points of solar energy panels (photovoltaic/PV), solar hot water (solar thermal) and solar pool heating, and the benefit of government rebates and incentives, everyone will want to invest in the future of our planet and our future generations to come.

Heidi Kunitz, President & Chief Financial Officer

As the majority owner of SES, Ms. Kunitz is devoted to customer service and sets an example to all SES employees for honesty and integrity. For the last 11 years, she has managed to the day-to-day operations of a highly regarded flooring business, MaxCARE Professional Floor Care, in Charleston. Previous experience was in human resources and secretarial/word processing management. In a long-ago prior lifetime, Ms. Kunitz was a professional actress and singer. Ms. Kunitz hails from Alabama and is married to Seth Levy and proud parent to two kids, Sammy (age 14) and Ellie (age 9). In addition to her business acumen, Ms. Kunitz exercises her creative and artistic abilities in her role as Music Director at Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim, the historic Reform Jewish synagogue in downtown Charleston. She was also a founding member of the Planning Board for East Cooper Montessori Charter School and continues to volunteer in the classroom and out.

Seth Levy, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Levy began his career as an environmental attorney in the mid 1980’s and practiced for 15 years. Since moving to Charleston in 1998, he has owned the above-mentioned flooring company, MaxCARE, with his wife Heidi. Sensing an opportunity to contribute to a former passion, he helped found SES. Seth is a graduate of solarenergy.com’s dealer training course and is studying to complete his licensing in Home Inspection.

Lori Moore, Sales & Customer Service

Lori Moore has been working with Heidi & Seth since July of 2008 when she went to work with MaxCare Floor Care. After working for a family-owned manufacturing company for 25 years in the Chicago area, she sought out employment with another family-owned operation. She brings a broad range of experience to the table ranging from customer service, estimating, and sales to administration, motivation and the care and feeding of all around her.
